i'm definitely going to miss working with princess lara...smart, fun, crazy and loves music- what a great combination...she even had to donate her desk to me for my new role...luckily some of her shoes are still underneath it so i guess we'll be keeping in touch :)

last night Jens (below) and I had our "doei drinks" for HRTP...we've both been working on the project since january - me as a trainee and Jens as a consultant with Deloitte...and we've had some fun, annoying, frustrating, challenging, but mainly FUN times working together...hope we keep in touch!
it's great to have bren back in town - after her trips to canada and india...doesn't really matter what we are doing, whether it's making dinner together, having a cup of chai, shopping for shoes or watching a movie..."it feels like home to me" :)
This is Sanna who was MCP of Finland and is now working for Education for Peace in Sarajevo, and living with her boyfriend, Igor, from Bosnia.
Susana was MCP of Sweden in 01-02 and Robbie, her Irish boyfriend, is studying teaching in Sweden - oh and he's also a sushi model in his spare time :)
Kristin was MCP of Norway in 01-02 and we were also on Evrim's AI team in 02-03. She is living in Oslo with her Norweigan boyfriend, Alexander, who is working in home construction.

five brave souls ventured out of amsterdam to amsterdamse bos (amsterdam forest)...first we got the wrong bus (damn 9299ov.nl) but luckily there was a nice bus driver who dropped us at a place where we could find the right bus...then we had a nice walk through the forest until we finally saw the tents in the distance...there were expecting quite a range of north african food options for lunch, but alas, there was just one type of sandwich!! jammer!! but we made the best of it anyways and later on relaxed in the camel hair tents and sipped some luscious mint tea
while the frat boat was simple it did come equipped with a horn and a hat and coat stand...which we had to put down flat every time we went under the bridges...and what a small world - rosey is friends with piero, but she also knows lozza from RMIT :)
piero...described by some as "that guy who swears alot during motivational speeches"...is an alumnus from aiesec in australia and the misguided idiot who convinced me to run for MCP! he also just turned 31 and came to amsterdam with his girlfriend, ana, and a bunch of pals to celebrate this special occasion
last night went to the concert of a brazilian group called "olodum"...it was an amazing couple of hours of brazilian beats and energy, with a really great atmosphere and energy amongst the crowd who were showing off their dancing skills and rhythm - an amazing night out!!!
well this weekend has had an African flavour...on Friday morning at 5:30am I went with Tanja, Maria and Marcio to meet the new ABN AMRO co-ordinator, Reuben from Kenya, at the airport...finally here to start his new term...it seems that the Immigration officials heard what a great guy he is and they wanted to get to know him better...so they took an extra 1.5 hours to do so!
we spent sunday in brussels...another day with great weather, and plenty happening - a beer festival in the grand place, a mussels festival in st catherine's square and a parade with some really big puppets!
inside the area there were several stages with different djs mixing different house/club music...and also random stalls with different competitions, like at a country fair
while we were wandering we stumbled across a cool music festival called "laundry day"...set in an industrial area we were led there by the laundry hanging on the "clothes lines" between the buildings...
there were many lovely buildings apart from the station...including a castle and many churches...and the weather was awesome for a pleasant day's wandering
on saturday we checked out antwerp - famous for its diamonds
